About Us
We're making a non-profit collaborative movie called "The 1 Second Film." Anyone in the world can be part of the project. The film has been entirely funded by small donations from thousands of people around the world. Everyone who has donated $1 or more will be listed in the credits as a producer. Our producers range from well known celebrities to first time filmmakers. A feature length making of documentary will play during the credits, detailing the collaborative journey of the project. Any profits raised by the finished film will be donated to an independent charity (the Global Fund for Women).
The 1 Second Film is the flagship production of The Collaboration Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization driven by a 5 Phase Plan to bring people around the world together to create collaborative art and social change.

Our Road to Oprah Quest...
As part of The 1 Second Film project, we have embarked on an epiq quest to ask Oprah to join our crew by donating one dollar to our cause.
Since our film is more about the journey than the destination, we decided to drive a used school bus 10,000 miles across America, meeting as many folks as we could along the way to Chicago, where we hoped to ask Oprah for said dollar.
First, we had to raise money to buy a bus. After many fundraisers and online donations, we eventually saved enough dollar-by-dollar to buy a school bus for $3,100 on ebay.
With the help of volunteers, we then converted the bus into a biodiesel tour bus. We took out all the seats, built bunk beds, and put a stage on the roof for the band. We also built a lemonad-stand type caboose for fundrasing along the way.
We then emailed the 7,000 producers that had joined, and asked them to help set up presentations for us along the way. We ended up getting invited to YouTube, Google, and dozens of house parties, universities, high schools, art galleries, and coffee shops.
Our crew of 8 embarked on a 30 day tour in November of 2007, presenting The 1 Second Film project i over 22 states, collectig donations to cover travel costs, and signing up over 1,000 new producers to the project. We also filmed the tour as part of our making of documentary. Unfortunately, on the day we arrived in Chicago, Oprah had to go to Africa unexpectadly to address an issue at her Leadership Academy for Girls.
We were uable to meet with Oprah while we were in Chicago, and had to return home. We have since been in touch with Oprah's producers, and have continued to build the project.
We are currently editing the footage from our first tour while designing a major rebuild for our website that will fix many of the communication issues we discovered during the frist tour.
We are planning a second Road to Oprah tour once we get everything in place, most likely up the Pacific North West.
